A Fond Farewell

Yesterday was a sad day indeed.

On August 16th in the Year of Elune, Fellow guild member Legonidas Aranian achieved the highest honor an active Alliance member could ever achieve.

Death in battle.

Yesterday, we held services for Legonidas at the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus. A quite fitting tribute to one so closely tied to his ancestry. From the composure of my fellow guild members, it was obvious that Legonidas was a well respected member of The Guild - Sterling.

A fallen hero, I knew him not. But through the words of my comrades in arms, I feel I have known him a lifetime. It would have been an honor to stand beside Legonidas in battle.

Now, from the perspective of someone new to the guild and still somewhat on the outside looking in, I can honestly say that I have never seen such respect for a fellow member of a band or warriors. Even within myself, I don't recall mourning the passing of a fellow warrior. For a warrior's death is an honor. He died so that I may live. It is my duty and my honor to carry on my compatriots legacy.

Taking a moment and remembering a fallen hero stirred emotions that are new to me. Becoming a member of the Sterling Guild is going to be quite a new experience. An experience that I will be looking forward to.

I must take my leave. There is word that the Sha'Tari Skyguard are requesting my presence in the forests of Terrokar. Until next I write-
